Sorry!  my bad, the CD I have is 6.1.  Is 7.0 stable and preferred?

There is not Redhat 6.5 but a Redhat 7.0.

I released RPMs for mrtg 2.9.4 and rrdtools 1.0.28 you could
find at rpmfind.net

In all case you could allways rebuild the RPM from source when having
problems with Redhat 6.x generated RPM on Redhat 7.x (egcs is different)
