That did the trick, thanks !!

Only problem that still existed was the fact that I used the same $database
for opening:

RRDs::update ($database, "$tijd:$hrProcessorLoad");

And the double substitution didn't work in this case...

I simply introduced a $database_short for the single \ substitution and
$database_long for the double \ substitution...

Maybe that idea for a different (or configurable ?) separator char is an
idea for a future version (Keeping us Windoze guys happy ;) ???
