Hi Wasi,

Before you start compiling RRDtool, make sure you have the following
packages installed on your system:

Perl 5.005

GNU make

GNU gcc

If you want to start hacking RRDtool, make sure you also have these:

GNU autoconf

GNU automake

GNU libtool

Most of the software can be found on http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/

Now you are ready to compile the code:

sh configure
make
make install

This will configure, compile and install RRDtool in
/usr/local/rrdtool-VERSION.

Be sure to compile with gcc and not with cc (HP compiler).

Try these steps and pray the lord. If you are lucky rrdtool will be
compiled.

By the way I am also trying to compile rrdtool on a HP box and I didn't
succeeded.

Yves...
