If you're going to use two RRDs after all, you can still combine
the two datasources into one graph.  Interesting, yes.  It would
be possible to see both the daily average and the 5-minute average.

In the current 1.1.x development series you can also achieve this,
as long as you're graphing just one day.  Calculate the MIN/AVG/MAX
from the 5-minute averages and plot those using HRULE.

In the future it (probably) will be possible to include a resolution
specifier in the "DEF:...." line.  This will allow you to use one
RRD but this doesn't help you in the present time.

You wrote "It looks like rearranging...".  Should I take this
literally so I can assume you tried and the results were
satisfactory?
