? There's no need to modify executables for this :)

When creating the RRD:

	--step|-s step (default: 300 seconds)
	    Specifies the base interval in seconds with which data
	    will be fed into the RRD. 

Simply specify "-s 60" if you want to insert data every 60 seconds.
I don't think it'll be possible to change this on an existing RRD;
you'll have to dump the data and restore it somehow (haven't needed
to do that yet).
