[rrd-users] GROW command

I've ran into a situation I'm unsure how to correct and hopefully someone
will be able to help me.  I have an existing rrd that I want to increase 1
of the rra.  I use the grow command as follows:

/usr/local/rrdtool/bin/rrdtool resize
/home/mrtg/public_html/x.x.x.x_x.x.x.x.rrd 0 GROW 8400 

I am returned a command prompt as it ran correctly.  I then run the info
command as follows:

/usr/local/rrdtool/bin/rrdtool info
/home/mrtg/public_html/12.126.174.6_12.126.174.6.rrd 

The output show that rra[0] is 599 rows. 
 
rra[0].cf = "AVERAGE"
rra[0].rows = 599                          <-- Only 599 lines in length
rra[0].pdp_per_row = 1
rra[0].xff = 5.0000000000e-01
rra[0].cdp_prep[0].value = NaN
rra[0].cdp_prep[0].unknown_datapoints = 0
rra[0].cdp_prep[1].value = NaN
rra[0].cdp_prep[1].unknown_datapoints = 0

Why didn't my grow command increase it to 8400 as I told it?  Have I entered
the grow command incorrectly?  After running the grow command I do have a
resize.rrd file, but it shows 599 lines for rra[0] as well.

Any help in this would be appreciated.
