Other than the obvious -- if you are obtaining GNU stuff from
sunfreeware.com, and if you have also installed GNU binutils, then put
/usr/ccs/bin in your path prior to where you installed binutils. There
is a disclaimer on the sunfreeware site regarding imcompatibilities.

I'm attempting to complile rrdtool-1.0.39 on solaris 8 with
perl 5.8.0, gcc 2.95.3 and make GNU Make version 3.79.1
and I'm getting the following errors.
