Changelog for rrdtool shows the PREV function in 1.0.39 despite the
1.0.38 docco refrerring to it ...

Does it work in 1.0.38 ?

Yes. Please would you send me an example ?
No.  How could I simulate it             ?

I would like to plot the deltas of GAUGE data.
