Ok, thanks all for replying.
Summarizing:
- It's not possible using only RRDtool (at this moment, stable versions)
- Everybody in need for a percentile function is just doing some external things
- In the code snapshot there's a working version of the PERCENT function
This PERCENT function indeed does the right job for me...
Moreover: it allows indeed to do a calculation over any vname (thus not limiting to raw datasources,
one at a time, as the external scripts do)
Too bad it is still in beta-status... :-(
Leaves the following questions:
- When can we expect the first stable release including the VDEF statement (allowing PERCENT,
MAXIMUM, etc)?
- Is it recommended to use the beta-release for calculating the percentile rule and the normal
release for the rest of the graph?
