Sure.  But this has nothing to do with perl or with rrdtool.
Even microsoft knows it should use standards in stead of making
their own:
    Windows NT Version 4.0
    C:\>dir "C:/mrtg/data
     Volume in drive C has no label.
     Volume Serial Number is 04F4-A282
     Directory of C:\mrtg\data
    23-07-02  12:15         <DIR>          .
    23-07-02  12:15         <DIR>          ..

                              1.648.982.528 bytes free
