When you create your RRD file, RRD Tool will assign all the space that it
requires ahead of time for the file. So if you look at the file size right
now, that should be as big as it ever gets.

I'm kind of new to RRD Tool, but this is my understanding of it. Anyone
please tell me if I'm wrong.

Subject: [rrd-users] RRA Filesize?

Hi!

Im doing a monitor test on a few switches monitoring the in/out traffic.

Im using --step = 60 to save values each minute.

My question is, how big will my RRA become if I use the following
settings:

	"RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1:50400", # 1min -- 5 weeks
	"RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:60:9360", # 1tim -- 13 months
	"RRA:MAX:0.5:1:50400", # 1min -- 5 weeks
	"RRA:MAX:0.5:60:9360", # 1tim -- 13 months
