[rrd-users] monitoring a 64 bit counter

Hi,
I'd like to monitor with RRDTOOL a variable (counter,64 bit) as Gauge.

What does happen when the counter reaches the maximum value and the counter
resets
its value?
Is the maximum value 2^64 ?
