hi,

Well, i need to feed the rrd at specific intervals. The sar
data
will to dumped in a dir for upload to rrd.

I have incidentally found a japanese link, for updating rrd
immediately,
http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Bay/1428/rrd.html
Any japanese to transate the jap part... most of the scripts
are in English
except 1/2 lines.. in a perl script.

And a sar report with rrd at osaka univ (looks damn cool...)
http://vis00.center.osaka-u.ac.jp/sxusers/rrd/sar/
One has to check these out.
