Sounds like either a DNS problem or the machine your installing onto doesn't
have Internet access.  There was a similar message about this already, you
may want to check the RRD User archives.  There was a way to intall the Perl
modules without Internet access but I can't remember how.  But I know it's
in the archives.

i am trying to install rrd but the following error appear when I type
C:\rrdtool-1.0.38\perl-shared>ppm install rrds.pm

I have working mrtg-2.9.29 correectly. I have installed perl-5.8.

I have download rrdtool-1.0.38, and the server wich work with mrtg do not
have access to internet.
