[rrd-users] newbie: router info

Hello List... this is maybe off-topic so apologies and please redirect me 
if necessary.

I've followed the rrdtool examples and setup scripts to graph the 
ifInOctets and OutOctets of the interfaces on a cisco 3640.  I'd like to 
add extra info to the graph such as the interface "Description" value 
(retrieved by typing the router command "show interfaces Serial x/x.x"). 
The ifDescr entry doesn't return this value.  Does anyone know if this 
value is available as an snmp queryable string?
