Ahh, I seemed to have it working now.. Just my stupidity! I installed the
rrdtool-1.0.40.x86distr.zip-5.8.zip file (Perl version 5.8) and not the
rrdtool-1.0.40.x86distr.zip files (Perl 5.6)

It seems to be running with no error- Now I just need to make some graphs
;-)

Subject: [rrd-users] ppm install rrds.ppd

Hello,

I am new to this list and I went through the archives before I posted this
message but, I cannot seem to get rrds.ppd to install. Currently, I am
running MRTG on a WindowsXP PROF- machine and slowly trying to convert over
to RRDTOOL. I have double and triple checked all of my configs but I am am
getting hung up on the fact that rrds.ppd is not installed.

C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\mrtg\bin>perl mrtg mrtg.cfg
Can't locate loadable object for module RRDs in @INC (@INC contains:
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\mrtg\rrdtool\perl-shared\
C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/mrtg/bin\..\lib\m
rtg2 C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/mrtg/bin C:/Perl/lib C:/Perl/site/lib .) at mrtg
line 225 Compilation failed in require at mrtg line 225.

I run:

C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\mrtg\rrdtool\perl-shared>ppm install rrds.ppd Installing
package 'rrds.ppd'... Error installing package 'rrds.ppd': Read a PPD for
'rrds.ppd', but it is not intended for this build of Perl
(MSWin32-x86-multi-thread)

I am running perl 5.6.1 from ActiveState..

Has anyone else had this issue? If so can you give me a clue on how I can
fix this.

Thank You,

matt
