[rrd-users] Strange use for RRDtool....

Hi all,
I have been a long time user of MRTG in the past for the
normal stuff SNMP-type stuff like routers, terminal servers,
etc but now I have found myself in a new environment......
I have a text accounting file that looks something like this
(really much more but this is an example)
username:cpu_time(sys):cpu_time(user):cpu_time(io):wallclock
So the values are in seconds and colon delimited. I would
like to suck this data into an RRDB and use RRDtool to
generate graphs from the data. The problem is that there is
no time axis on the graphs I want to generate. This is not a
normal use of RRDtool but due to the really cool round robin
databases and the excellent graphs generated.
I can't just create a time value as what I really want to do is
just 'playback' this accounting file. Does anyone have any
suggestions/hacks to get RRDtool to do what I am looking for?
Thanks,
-jed
