Multiple versions of perl equals hell, usually.
You could try to update libgd to a newer version and to reinstall the
perl GD module.

If that doesn't help, I'm afraid you'll have to take it to a gd or a
perl mailinglist of some kind.

i find it's weird like there arer 2 versions of perl installed on my
computer (5.6.0 and 5.8.0)
