[rrd-users] AW: Problem wiht data import (numbers)

It depends.....if you have used an RRA archive and a consolidation function that averages the data, then it shouldn't surprise that the value is averaged over a time....

RRDTOOL collects counters over a period of time, and data is usually considered as COUNTER_INCREMENT per TIME (delta_c / delta_t).

Does this make sense to you (and have you read carefully the tutorials for RRDTOOL) ?

Best regards

Betreff: [rrd-users] Problem wiht data import (numbers)

Hello everybody!

I have a Problem, or beter it seems so, with the import of data. When I update my *.rrd everything is ok, but when I fetch the db a number of "30" is displayed as "22.3" or something. Is this normal (conversion or something) or is it an error in the version (I am using rrdtool-1.0.40.x86distr.zip)?

Thanks a lot!

Thomas W.
