[rrd-users] dynamic RRD ?

I am writting a script for fun that parses the iptables logs
and make a rrd with what ports have droped packets and how many.

So, whats a better way yo go about this....

update a existing rrd with a new DS using the script i found
in the archive....

or just make a new rrd for each new port that has droped a packet?
