First of all:  That space between "rrd" and ":size" does not belong there.

Altered example DEF to fit on one line:

DEF:u=/path/<RRD::CV::QUOTE share>.rrd:size:AVERAGE

Things to try:


   "DEF:u=/path/<RRD::CV::QUOTE share>.rrd:size:AVERAGE"
   DEF:u="/path/<RRD::CV::QUOTE share>.rrd":size:AVERAGE

Alter the variable "share" to say
"part1%20part2" in stead of "part1 part2"

thanks for that. I'll work through your suggestions and although I'm pretty
sure I've tried quoting I'll try again to be certain.
