[rrd-users] Migrating data from one RRA to another one

High,
I'd like to use the data from one RRA and use it as input for another
one (having a different step size). My idea is to create a new RRD with
all needed RRAs and then read the RRA from the old RRD and use rrdtool
update to insert the data. But how do a read from the RRA? I don't think
using rrdtool dump and applying sed to the XML file is a good idea.
Any suggestions?
