No document but some free to study sample scripts can be read on
http://hvdkooij.xs4all.nl/stats/

There are dozens if not thousands more of these samples around on the
internet. Basically start with the documentation on the RRDtool site and
some other samples and start playing.

RRDtools is not plug-and-play but code-and-play with trial-and-error.
