[rrd-users] How to expand a db

Hi all, is it possible to enlarge my RRD file adding 2 collected variables?
If i'm not mistaken it would be possible using "rrdtool resize" command.
What I didn't undestand is: first of all... what rra-num is and then how can I name new variables?
