[rrd-users] make troubles

Hello all,
I managed to successfully configure rrdtool. But now when I run make I
get the following error:

ld: fatal: relocations remain against allocatable but non-writable
sections

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

make[2]: *** [librrd.la] Error 1

make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/rrdbuild/rrdtool-1.2.10/src'

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/rrdbuild/rrdtool-1.2.10'

make: *** [all] Error 2

 

 

Any advice or suggestion to why "make" is failing would be appreciated.
