[rrd-users] Horizontal bands

Is there a way of adding horizontal bands to graphs produced with
rrdtool?

At present I am using stacked areas with fixed values, but these affect
the scaling.

It would be nice if there was something like a NOSCALE flag that could
be added to a line or area for just this purpose.

eg:

                 AREA:10::NOSCALE \
                 AREA:2#FFFFCC:"Switching Zone":STACK,NOSCALE \
                 AREA:18#CCFFCC:"Comfort Zone":STACK,NOSCALE \
                 AREA:20#FFFFCC::STACK,NOSCALE \

which would cause the areas to be displayed within the bounds of the
scale of any other lines on the graph.

Matt
