[rrd-users] change RRA-steps in existing rrd?

Is there a way to alter the RRA-step-value in an existing rrd?
Its currently set to 3, so three primary data points are used to 
generate a consilitated datapoint.
I'd like to change it to 1 to make the graph more "realtime".

Is this possible? rrdtune does not help here.neither does rrdresize.

in rrdinfo the value in question is desribed as pdp_per_row.
