[rrd-users] Newbie: Dump/Restore RRD with changing the "Step"

Hallo @ all,

I'm sucessfully transfer my measurements from MRTG-only to
MRTG-RRD-routers2.cgi-system. All is working fine...

But now i will change the intervalls from 5 min to 2 min and don't know
how to do this without lost off my data. 

I've tried to make a dump, change the <step>300</step> to 120 and to
restore the xml-file to a new DB. But it seems that the restore-function
takes the newest timestamp and substract 120 sec to make new timestamps.
All old timestamps are overwriten....

Any ideas/hints how to make this?
