[rrd-users] not able to compile rrdtools

Hello!

I tried to upgrade rrdtool to 1.2.15 after upgrading perl to Version 5.8.8
and installed
freetype-2.1.10.tar.bz2
libpng-1.2.10.tar.gz
libart_lgpl-2.3.17.tar.gz

I get this error with ./configure
....
Findr 3rd-Party Libraries
checking for art_vpath_add_point in -lart_lgpl_2... no
checking for pkg-config... no
....

I looked in libart_lgpl-2.3.17.tar.gz and there is no
art_vpath_add_point just

I don't know how to proceed to get my RRD working again.

Any help?
