I'm not sure I understand the correct format for invoking rrdtool's pipe mode.
Do you mean something like this?
rrdtool graph < my_long_arg_list.txt > out
where my_long_arg_list.txt would look something like this?
[]cat my_long_arg_list.txt
site_disk_HMW6dFGqY4.png -t 'Used Disk Storage' -s -3m -w500 -h125 -l 0 \
DEF:A=A_multidisk.rrd:Used:MAX \
DEF:B=B_multidisk.rrd:Used:MAX \
...

Hi Dave,
if you use the rrdtool pipe mode then the limitations of your shell
will not apply!
