[rrd-users] Bug in 1.2.12

Hi all,

I think I found a bug in librrd 1.2.12 (or some library below).

I am developing tools which link librrd. During the past few days I've
been testing different versions of librrd. Finally I was able to
reproduce the infamous "*** attempt to put segment in horiz list
twice" with version 1.2.12.

More important: It does not happen (or I just wasn't able to reproduce
it) when the first call to rrd_graph() is made. However on subsequent
calls the error message is written and the plots become ...
interesting: One "line" is suddenly much too wide. I'd think some
states are not being properly reset at the beginning of a new graph.

For a rrd file and a program to reproduce the behaviour as well as
examples of the plots see http://www.no-where.at/rrd/. (Binary
identical png files were deleted. And no, I had not intended to
actually write any HTML. The server doesn't have autoindexing.)

Software used:

SuSE 9.2 i586, gcc 3.3.4, glibc-2.3.3, freetype2-2.1.9,
libpng-1.2.6, zlib-1.2.1, libart_lgpl-2.3.16

Debian Sarge i386: gcc 3.3.5-3, libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22, libfreetype6
2.1.7-2.4, libpng10-0 1.0.18-1, zlib1g 1.2.2-4.sarge.WHATEVER,
libart-2.0-2 2.3.17-1

rrdtool-1.2.12 was built with ./configure --enable-shared
--prefix=WHATEVER

Note: While both computers showed similar errors they were _not_
exactly the same.

Bye bye,
Peter
