Please look in the documentation that came with the program.  If that
documentation does not mention VDEF, your version does not have it.
You cannot use the documentation from any version and expect your
installation to magically upgrade its software.

Also I'm not 100% sure if what you try is possible at all.   Only
one way to find out I guess...
