Hi Sebastian,
this problem only ocures if you choose RRAs that are not multiples
of each other ... RRA selection (in rrd_fetch) goes for the RRA
that best covers the 'range' you ask it for ... at the moment the
selection algorithm does not care for the resolution as long as the
coverage is complete ... and since the lower res rrd provides
complete coverage where the higher res does not, it picks the lower
res ... if you have an idea for an algorithm fix in rrd_fetch,
please let me know your ideas ...
as for the DEF line you can specify the step there ... but having
rrdtool do the right thing would certainly be preferable ...
