[rrd-users] creating custom rrd databases

Hello,

I am using rrdtool to log values generated by mrtg by using the following in mrtg.cfg
logformat: rrdtool

this however creates a database with 4 slices where daily has average values of 5min, weekly of 30, monthly of 2hrs by default
can i add any parameters to the above so that i can generate the rrd database in a more flexible way ?

I mean i want to rename the Datasets, keep granularity as 5min even for monthly values !! is this doable from mrtg ?? or should i stick to defaults ??
