[rrd-users] RRDTool atomicity

Hi all. Is updating RRDTool databases atomic? I have searched the
mailing list archives and web site and only see tenuous references to
the topic.

Basically, if I'm doing lots of rrdtool updates all the time, can I
reliably pull the plug on my machine and expect RRDTool to not have a
corrupt database file? If I can, it'd be good if this guarantee were
documented somewhere (and hopefully tested).
