Hi Martin,

look at the error message you posted:

Pango-CRITICAL **: No fonts found: This probably means that the
fontconfig, library is not correctly configured. You may need to,
edit the fonts.conf configuration file. More information, be found
in the fontconfig(3) manual, http://fontconfig.org.

it most likely means that you have no fonts installed on your
system.


look at fonts.conf

use fc-cache to update the font cache
use fc-list to see which fonts are installed
