The first one sample is the /10*10.  That ends in zero.  The ones ending in
8 are /10*10-2.

I'll try your debug suggestions.  I fired it up this morning to try some
other things to debug it, and it isn't failing.  It was failing 50% of the
time before I went home, and not at all now...
