[rrd-users] RRDTool with Java API

Hi All,
 
Is there any means of using Java API to fetch data from the rrd's created by
RRDTool?
Let me explain in detail. The RRDTool is installed and generating rrd files
in a unix system and i have been using perl and cgi programming to read the
rrd files. But now i would like to use pure Java API to read those rrd's and
retrieve data. Is this possible?

I tried the JRobin API. but JRobin is not able to manipulate the rrd files
created by rrdtool. I think same is the case with RRD4J.

I would be really grateful if anyone can anyone guide me on this.
