[rrd-users] Fonts in Graph Title

Hello.
I'm having problem with norwegian letters (æøå) in graph title are being
displayed as squares.

I'm using rrdtool 1.3.7 and cacti 0.8.7e on a fresh debian lenny
installation.
Have spesified the rrdtool fontpath in cacti;
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSansMono.ttf

In the logfiles there are lots of pango errors;
(process:29996): Pango-WARNING **: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to
pango_layout_set_text()
(process:30001): Pango-CRITICAL **: pango_context_load_font: assertion
`pango_font_description_get_family (desc) != NULL' failed

In the rrd file the name is correct but when graphs are generated some
letters are displayed as squares.

Please give me a hint on how to solve this.
