[rrd-users] how can update a Data-Field from Gauge to Counter in an existing rrd file?

hi,

i have defined a data-field as "DS:myjob1:GAUGE:120:0:U" with rrdcreate, but
now the data souce changed the data type to a COUNTER one.

how can it make this change? considering the programming have been working
around for months and really don't want to lose data.
