[rrd-users] Convert counter data file to gauge

We use Munin to collect & graph data.  Recently i found that some of the
rrd data files had been defined with a data type of COUNTER when they
should have been created as GAUGE.

If i dump the data to XML, is there a program/script that will process the
COUNTER data and give me a new xml file with the values "converted" back
to at lease an approximation of their original GAUGE values?
