[rrd-users] load balancing with rrdcached

Hi All! One of the applications I'm working with talks to rrdcached via
tcp. But, the amount of required iops is starting to exceed what the
machine can handle.

As there's already a tcp link between the application and rrdcached, it
feels like it would be an interesting place to put some kind of
horizontal sharding layer. Has anyone done this? Any comments?
