I'm trying to make sure i understand how data is actually stored in
rrd's with rrdtool. From the tutorial:
rrdtool create myrouter.rrd         \
            DS:input:COUNTER:600:U:U   \
            DS:output:COUNTER:600:U:U  \
            RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1:600      \
            RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:6:700      \
            RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:24:775     \
            RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:288:797    \
            RRA:MAX:0.5:1:600          \
            RRA:MAX:0.5:6:700          \
            RRA:MAX:0.5:24:775         \
            RRA:MAX:0.5:288:797

It says that mrtg stores 600 30 minute samples buyt that rrdtool needs
to store 700, the tutorial give s a reason but I'm still not seeing why.
Perhaps i'm looking too hard.
