Hmmm ... strange, very strange ... I'm not sure that you _have to_ dump and restore the .rrd files if you only migrate from version 1.0.x to version 1.2.x. Usually you only have to dump+restore the files if you migrate between different architectures (e.g. from IRIX to Linux on x86). Can you send me your script/commands you are using to dump && restore the databases? If you move the databases to another host informations what script runs on which host will be helpfull.
