[smokeping-users] Alerts and running a script

Morning,

I have two questions really. We have been using smokeping here for a few months and have found it to be a really invaluable tool. 

1. I have tried to get the alerts working and have so far failed to receive any alerts when I know that there has been both packet loss and increased rtt. Here is my approximate config (Have changed the mail address)

 to = ian.hunt at abc.com
 from = smokealert at abc.com

+lossdetect
 type = loss
 pattern = ==0%,==0%,==0%,==0%,>1%,>1%
 comment = suddenly there is packet loss

+rttdetectUS
 type = rtt
 pattern = <100,<100,<100,<100,<100,<100,>110,>110,>110
 comment = routing mesed up again ?

+rttdetectEU
 type = rtt
 pattern = <20,<20,<20,<20,<20,<20,>30,>30,>30
 comment = routing mesed up again ?

2. Can i run a script when limits are reached?

Ideally though I would prefer to run a script when rtt or loss reaches predifined limits so that i can send a trap into HP Openview.

If anyone has any useful information in this area i would really appreciate any help.
