I got rid of all of the spaces and dots from the config file.  Now, when
I try to run it, I get:

[Mon Jul 29 10:11:09 2002] [error] [client 192.168.20.130] malformed
header from script. Bad header=Daemonizing /home/httpd/cgi-bi:
/home/httpd/cgi-bin/smokeping.cgi
