Hi all! I think I have the same error, my web server gives me this error
message:

[29/Jul/2002:14:48:52] failure (24591): for host 10.121.129.32 trying to GET /smokeping/smokeping.cgi,
cgieng_scan_headers reports: the CGI program /opt/smokeping/smokeping.cgi did not produce
a valid header (program terminated without a valid CGI header. Check for core dump or other abnormal termination)

I have Smokeping 1.12, and Netscape Web Server

I got rid of all of the spaces and dots from the config file.  Now, when
I try to run it, I get:

[Mon Jul 29 10:11:09 2002] [error] [client 192.168.20.130] malformed
header from script. Bad header=Daemonizing /home/httpd/cgi-bi:
/home/httpd/cgi-bin/smokeping.cgi
