Here are my thoughts, see if you agree,

The graph displays three vital information:

Colors: The colors (green, blue, red etc) indicate the amount of lost
packets.

Position of colored line: Indicate where the median line is i.e. if you
arrange each of your packet times in order and take the middle value but I
suppose you already know the def for median ;-)

Grey areas: Indicate the distribution of the response/latency times. Hence
the less peaked the grey areas indicates a smaller distribution around the
average. So if your colored line is below most of the grey areas, this is
good because it indicates that your median falls in the region where most of
your packets are having faster ping times (in another words lower latency).
