Since smokeping is doing far more, I'd think you 
would rather use the smokeping data as opposed to the 
nagios data.  I don't use nagios, but I can only 
guess that nagios just pings the interface once, and 
doesn't do all this fancy stuff that smokeping does.

Hi tobi

I am using smokeping to plot some graphs for the availability of our 
network.I am also using nagios to monitor the network . The problem is 
that most of the host which are checked by smokeping and nagios both are 
checked redundantly and that increases the cpu load. Is there any way 
that  the smokeping can use the results of the nagios checks which is 
being stored in RRD format. Allthough its not using fping for its 
monitoring.

If that can be done, please provide directions.
