[smokeping-users] SmokePing and Debian

Guys,

I just tried to install SmokePing (1.12-3) on an unstable Debian system
(have been trying for the last few weeks) but have run into some dependency
issues.  I know this is more a Debian issue than a SmokePing, but thought
the package maintainer or someone else may have solved this problem.

Smokeping depends on speedy-cgi-perl, speedy-cgi-perl depends on
perlapi-5.6.1 which does not exist!

Anyone seen this and worked around it?
